Baborówko to Host the 2027 FEI Four-in-Hand European Championships

On Wednesday, the driving world received exciting news: Baborówko Equestrian Centre has been officially announced as the host of the FEI Four-in-Hand European Championships 2027. This milestone is the result of several successful editions of the Baborówko Driving Show, an international event that has rapidly gained recognition and prestige in recent years.

Baborówko Equestrian is one of the leading equestrian venues in Poland and Central Europe. Nestled in the picturesque countryside of the Greater Poland region, near the town of Szamotuły and just 30 km from Poznań, it offers ideal conditions for hosting top-level competitions.

The centre is best known for its international eventing competitions, which for years have attracted some of the most accomplished riders from Poland and abroad. Among its flagship events is the Equestrian Festival Baborówko, which combines world-class sport with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere and a mission to promote equestrianism to a wider audience. Since 2022, Baborówko has also hosted international show jumping and driving competitions.

The Baborówko Driving Show is an official international driving competition, which also includes the Polish National Championships. It is the only event of its kind in Poland and one of the few in Europe. Each year, top drivers from around the globe gather at Baborówko to compete for victory in the Nations Cup and earn qualification points for the World Cup. The event has welcomed some of the sport’s biggest names, including Boyd Exell (Australia), Christoph Sandmann (Germany), and Daniel Schneiders (Austria). The star of last year’s edition, Boyd Exell, is currently ranked world number one and is a multi-time World Champion and Nations Cup winner.

Thanks to the high standards of organization and glowing reviews from participants, Baborówko has been selected to host the 2027 FEI Four-in-Hand European Championships. The event will bring together the most accomplished drivers from across the continent.

“We are incredibly pleased with the enthusiastic reception of the events held in Baborówko and the trust placed in us by the International Equestrian Federation. We will do everything in our power to ensure that every competitor experiences not only top-level sport, but also the unique, family atmosphere of our venue” says Henryk Jan Święcicki, Event Director.
