A great success for the Poles at the Equestrian Festival Baborówko

The fifteenth edition of the Equestrian Festival Baborówko has just ended. The greatest success was achieved by the Poles, who won individually and as a team in the CCIO4*-L competition, which gives them a qualification for the Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Great form was also shown by the Germans, who took first, second and third place in the top-subsidised CCI4*-S competition.

The Equestrian Festival Baborówko ended happily for the Polish national team, which in the CCIO4*-L competition gained a qualification for the Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Individually, the best performance came from Jan Kaminski, who, with his horse Jard, won the competition with a score of 37.8 points. He was closely followed by Mateusz Kiempa, competing individually, and Libertina (40 points). In third place was Małgorzata Korycka with Cavalencia (46 points). The CCIO4*-L was not a success for the Czechs, who had to drop out of the team competition already after the official horse inspection, and for the Hungarians, who had no luck during yesterday's cross-country.

"It may seem like it was so easy, whereas I think each rider will confirm that it was a very difficult as well as demanding competition. On top of that, every athlete has to have the minimum qualification and of us have achieved it here." - says Poland's representative in the CCIO4*-L Olympic competition and member of the Baborówko Equestrian Association, Paweł Warszawski.

Undoubtedly, the highest-scoring CCI4*-S competition for the prize of show Patron Mr Roman Roszkiewicz was also associated with the greatest emotions. The first place, after a faultless jumping, was maintained by the German Christoph Wahler with Carjatan S with a total score of 27,9, closely followed by the Olympic Champion Michael Jung and Kilcandra Ocean Power (31,8 points). Jerome Robine and Black Ice (33.3 points) moved into third place.

"I'm happy to be here and I had a great time here. It's definitely a good day!" - says German representative Jerome Robine.

The event is organised by the Baborówko Equestrian Association and the event's partner is the LOTTO brand owned by Totalizator Sportowy.

"Thank you very much for your support, for the organisation. I think we have contributed to making this a really special spectacle and thank you all again for being here. It was a great pleasure to compete here and we see you in Paris!" - says Poland's representative in the CCIO4*-L, Jan Kaminski.
